Harry Boyd-Carpenter, Head of Energy, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, UK


Harry Boyd-Carpenter leads a team of over 35 professionals promoting the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development’s (EBRD) transition mandate in the electricity generation, renewable energy, transmission and distribution sectors. He has more than 20 years’ experience in financing and investing in emerging markets and transition economies, with a special emphasis on the energy sector. Harry has led high-level policy engagement with a particular focus on establishing the enabling environment for renewable energy.
Prior to his joining EBRD in 2005, Harry was a senior associate in Allen and Overy’s project finance group and has also worked for the European Union in UNMIK-Kosovo.
